NIC National Survey of Adult Children:  How They Influence Their Parents' Housing & Care Descisions

This study reveals extensive information about the decision influence of adult children whose parents (or other relative) reside in congregate, assisted living or skilled nursing properties, or receive home healthcare or adult daycare services. Based on a sample of 1,500 households headed by individuals between the ages of 45 to 64, the study adds to the understanding of demand for seniors housing product types - particularly those offering long term care services - because that demand is often driven by adult children's knowledge of available options and the need to act upon them.
