The Impact of PPS on Nursing Home Profitability & Debt Coverage
This research, conducted by PricewaterhouseCoopers for NIC, reports the results of nursing home portfolios from seven major healthcare lenders. The loans studied are those from small and regional operations with single-asset loans or loans supported by a small number of facilities. Results show how PPS impacts revenue, net income and debt coverage, and how nursing homes have responded to this impact. The performance of the portfolios is then compared to that of the more widely reported, national chains
