SLU offers a national certification program to
industry professionals. This self-study, self-paced course uses Senor Living University's 3-volume "Management
Library for Administrator's and Executive Directors".
Administrators learn to effectively manage the departments under their
supervision, develop quality programs for residents, and maintain census through
effective marketing. Applicants who
successfully complete the open-book exam at 85% or higher receive SLU's
certificate.

SLU's National Administrator Certification
What is the Certification?
The National Administrator Certification is a voluntary
certification earned through completion of SLU's Administrator Certification
Course.

Who is Eligible?
Any individual presently working as an administrator or
seeking to prepare for a career as an administrator.
What is the Course?
The course is a self-study, self-paced course using
Senior Living University's 3-volume 'Management Library for Administrators and Executive
Directors'. Upon completion of the course, the candidate must pass an
open-book examination at 85% or higher to receive SLU's certification of
completion.
What does the Course cover?
The 'Management Library' is a comprehensive course that
addresses most of the areas of responsibility of an administrator including
staffing, training, accounting, marketing, dining services, plant maintenance
and other pertinent topics. A complete syllabus is available upon request.
Does this Certification meet my State Licensing
requirements?
The course is approved in a number of states and is
under review in many more. Please check with your state licensing agency to receive the most current information for your
state.
Do I need to be re-Certified?
Yes. This certification is a two-year certification,
after which time you will need to complete a minimum of 10 credit hours in
continuing education using SLU approved materials. SLU will offer these
courses on a self-study basis. These courses will also be eligible for NAB CEU
credits.
Can I earn CEU credits?
Yes! The NAB has approved the course for 47 CEU hours.
If your state accepts NAB credit hours, this self-study course meets their
